My next challenge.

So, I need to get off my ass. Literally.

I think I've always been a bit afraid to just draw. To just put whatever I feel like on paper no matter how crappy or awesome it looks, because I feel like there has always been someone better at art than me. When really there are many different styles and I was comparing my style to someone else's.

So, I'm going to challenge myself. I'm going to get off my tush and try again. I want to enter some designs on threadless.com. I want to submit patterns to a few companies. But first I need to start drawing regularly again.

I bought a new moleskin sketchbook last week. I've always bought them but never really finished one. Now that I'm comfortable in my style and I like what I draw I plan to fill it up! I plan to post more often (even though I need to get this computer looked at) and I plan to get a move on.

Hopefully I won't have to eat my words. :)

Sleepyhead

Been awhile. I got a little distracted. I got a job and my time got diverted. Christmas, family, and good times helped as well but I plan to make a come back. Sorry this one took me so long. Took me awhile to figure out what direction to go. I'm happy with it. Kinda hairy monster/cell growth going on. :)

Yay! I got this done today! I like the colors of this one. Not sure about the frame because the others don't have one, but I like the old circus vintage look it has with it. :)

Magic mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?

I was going for a Snow White/Sleeping Beauty/Alice in Wonderland look for this one. I think I'm happy with it.

Alright, sorry for the absence. Circle 7 is finally colored. I tried a lot of different approaches to this and I'm finally happy with this one. I'll have more circles colored over this next week.

Ocean Pearls

My dears, here is Circle 6 in color. I wanted an ocean-pearl look. Like old lady bathroom decor, lol. But I'm satisfied.

Circle 11! I have one more left to go before the Circle Project is complete. Woo! I really need to color the ones I've drawn lately. Been kind of more in a drawing mood and less of a color mood. But it shall get done! I will have Circle 6 colored and up tomorrow!

Magnolia

Circle 10 as promised! I'm glad I got this done before I head out to a family dinner. :) I got some inspiration from a book about fossil plants. It's really quite fascinating how different things look under a microscope.

Where are my keys!?!

I made this pattern some time ago but I was never satisfied with it. Well, after printing it out it looks better than I thought. Sometimes it takes a few months and a printer to realize that you were on the right track.

Snow White.

Well, I've been quite busy. Working on my portfolio for my interview; which by the way is on Monday. I'm super excited, nervous, and all around happy. Here is another circle, finally. Circle 8 in all it's glory! Makes me think of Snow White or some other princess with a ribbon in her hair.

I hope to have another circle on here by Monday. Then after my interview I can get to work on coloring the latest ones. :)

Busy
